There are plenty of great hikes in Americas wilderness. Many get you above the alpine (tree line). The Boreal forest, alluvial plains and immense mountain valley landscapes would take a lifetime to explore. Be sure to pick up a hiking map available in the hotel when checking in.

The Golden Saloon is the locals’ gathering place - the only saloon inside a National Park! Thursday is Open Mic with plenty of local and visiting talent; Friday & Saturdays are all out parties with live bands and late night dancing. Salmon & Bear Restaurant offers a unique dining experience, combining playful creativity with exquisite wine pairings and fresh, locally sourced Alaskan delicacies.
